San Diego - Jan 12-15, 2018

We stayed at Admiral Baker RV Park which is operated by the Navy.  It was a nice campground.  The sites are set up in a u-shape with the bathroom in the middle, so you can't choose a spot closer to the bathroom than any other spot.  After setting up camp, we went to White Labs Brewing Co.  White Labs propogates their own yeast cultures and divides their batches up to ferment with different yeast strains and see the effect on the taste.  Pretty cool!

The main goal for this trip was to visit the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld San Diego!  We got to see lots of penguins and a panda :)

This turtle's shell got broken by a boat and had just been brought in for rehab that day

Los Angeles has so many restaurants that you should be able to find just about any style of food you want, but they only have one deep dish pizza restaurant! It's not up to Chicago standards, so we were extremely happy to find a deep dish restaurant in San Diego.  It definitely fits the bill.  The only downside was all the Cubs decor but still worth it (go Cards!).

The other place we were excited to go was Kansas City BBQ where the great balls of fire scene in Top Gun was filmed.  They have delicious food too!
