Del Mar Beach Resort at Camp Pendleton - Oct. 6-9, 2017
It's been almost a year since we last went camping! After the move and tons of much-wanted guests from home over the summer, we finally found time to get the T@G out and take a trip! First task was to de-winterize the camper (something we won't have to deal with for the next few years in SoCal lol). Because I planned the trip about two weeks beforehand, many of the campgrounds we wanted to go to were full. We started checking a larger radius and decided on the Del Mar Beach Resort on Camp Pendleton. Camping right on the beach was on our bucket list for our time out here, and this campground did not disappoint.
There are five rows of campers, and we ended up in the 3rd row because that was the only site they had open by the time I booked the trip. For the first couple days we had somewhat of a straight view to the beach from our campsite because there weren't any campers blocking our way directly in front of us. Of course, campers eventually pulled in there but not a big deal because we could easily walk to the beach.
It was so great setting up a blanket and watching the sunset while drinking wine every night (another bucket list item!). We received plastic wine glasses for Christmas, so I fancied them up and added a sticker using my Cricut. Perfect for camping!
The big Air Force vs. Navy football game was that weekend. Unfortunately, Air Force lost and we got some grief from some Navy fans haha.

No camping trip is complete without winery and craft brewery tastings! We visited Beach House Winery, Legacy Brewing Co., and Oceanside Brewing Co. which has the coolest flights ever.

Beach House Winery - can you tell we chose this winery based on the pictures of the view I found online?

Oceanside Brewing Co. - the owner is from Columbus, OH and we were excited to find a Rhinegeist sticker from Cincinnati!
We had a great weekend, and we're very much looking forward to our next California camping adventure! It was nice to get away from the crazy in Los Angeles for a weekend. The area Camp Pendleton is in is much more laid back with a lot more open space and less traffic.

Bella thought about driving back for us but realized she couldn't reach the pedals
I put together a montage of the weekend too. Check it out!
